If as a teacher, you set a Current Class , this allows you to filter what you see in Dataset, Simulation and Analysis list views under My stuff so you only see items that are shared with that class.
How to set the Current Class
In the Classes list under My Stuff, you'll see an action beside each class to Set as Current Class.
Your current class is indicated at the top of the Classes list:
