# Admin: Adding DataClassroom to your LMS

This article is for IT staff or admins using Canvas, Classlink, Schoology, or Google Workspace for Education

Before you can add DataClassroom to courses or modules within an LMS, the app has to be connected to the LMS. Depending on the system, this requires various setup procedures to be performed both on the LMS and at the DataClassroom end.

Using a different LMS? Please [contact us](mailto:info@dataclassroom.com) and ask for status. We are always ready to look at integrating with a new system.

### Schoology

Please refer to the following documents:

### Canvas

### Google Workspace for Education

Log-in with Google has since October 2023 required **special permissions** to be set for users under 18, as described in [this Google article](https://support.google.com/a/answer/13288950).

If not configured then students will receive the message "**Access blocked**" when trying to log in. They can then click the **request access** link:

This will then send a request to the administrator who can then approve the app. [Your IT admin needs to configure your school district's Google Workspace for Education to allow students to sign in with Google.](https://support.google.com/a/answer/13288950)

See also [this Google Support article](https://support.google.com/edu/classroom/answer/11081157?hl=en#zippy=%2Cthird-party-applications) for more information (under "Third-party applications")

### Classlink

To initiate a Classlink rostering integration, you need to contact Classlink initially. The process is:

- The school/district requests Classlink to enable rostering for their organization (aka "tenant") with DataClassroom
- Once Classlink have done this, DataClassroom can obtain the connection information from Classlink and configure the integration
- You are good to go with rostering with Classlink! See [importing classes from your LMS](/v1/docs/importing-classes-from-your-lms).
